The remodeled family room is finally complete... it is 21 by 11ft. It used to be very dark with orange knotty pine shelving. I removed all the gingerbread trim, primed the whole thing, ditched the rickety ceiling fans, installed new closet doors, patched some drywall holes, new baseboard trim, and installed carpet tiles. Overall the project took me about a year, but I had many starts and stops.
...onward to the upstairs bath.

Aaron, that looks amazing. You've done an awesome job.
:-)
thanks Lisa! In a Fix is one of my favorite shows. What you can't tell from the photos, is there are fleks of the dark green color blended in the carpet. Also, for carpet tile, the carpet is very soft. It is called Legato and can be found at Home Depot.
I'm not sure if you ever saw this blog, the person who writes it lives in Dayton, but he's in the process of restoring an older home.
This Old Crack House
I've see the Legato, we will hopefully be in our house in a few months and I was interested in it so it's nice to know you used it. Having kids and pets and situations where one part of the carpet ends up ruined it would be nice to have the ability to more easily repair/replace than what is necessary for traditional wall to wall carpet.
